Terms & Conditions
Last updated: June 2026
1. Introduction
These terms and conditions govern the provision of mobile bar services, masterclasses, tastings and related event services by The Bar UK. By booking our services you agree to be bound by these terms.
2. Bookings and quotations
All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation. Quotes are valid for 14 days from the date issued unless otherwise stated. A booking is only confirmed once a deposit has been received and we have issued written confirmation.
3. Deposits and payment
A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking. The deposit amount will be specified in your quotation. The remaining balance is due no later than 14 days prior to the event date. Payment methods accepted will be detailed on your invoice.
4. Cancellations and rescheduling
Cancellations made more than 30 days before the event will forfeit the deposit only. Cancellations made within 14–30 days of the event will incur a charge of 50% of the total booking value. Cancellations made within 14 days of the event will be charged in full. Rescheduling requests are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.
5. Venue and access
The client is responsible for ensuring suitable access to the venue for setup and breakdown, including loading areas, lifts and parking. We require a minimum setup time of 90 minutes before service begins. The venue must have adequate power and water supplies where required.
6. Licensing and regulations
The client is responsible for obtaining any necessary licences, permits or permissions for the sale or service of alcohol at the event venue. We can provide guidance on this upon request but ultimate responsibility rests with the client or venue.
7. Guest conduct and safety
We reserve the right to refuse service to any guest who appears intoxicated, underage (without valid ID), or behaving in a manner that endangers staff or other guests. We operate a Challenge 25 policy.
8. Liability
We carry appropriate public liability insurance. Our liability is limited to the total value of the booking. We are not liable for indirect, consequential or unforeseeable losses arising from the event.
9. Menu and staffing changes
Final guest numbers, menu selections and staffing requirements must be confirmed no later than 14 days before the event. Changes requested after this date are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.
10. Force majeure
Neither party shall be liable for failure to perform obligations where such failure is due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, pandemic, government restrictions or venue closure. In such cases we will endeavour to reschedule or provide a credit note at our discretion.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
